Pregnancy myths – do these things really happen
There are a lot of pregnancy myths around. And in age where we already suffering from information over-load on most things we can find our expectations of the pregnancy and birth are not as we have been lead to believe.
For most of us it is probably one of the most frightening and exciting times of our life. However in an age where the mystery surrounding childbirth has been replaced with films, books and programmes like “One born every minute”, the reality when you are the one giving birth can be very different.
Yes it is a big event. But for everyone it will be different. And quite often for each pregnancy the birth – experience will be different again.
However there are few myths which have been floating around which add a little artistic license to make what is a fairly unusual occurrence sound like it happens to everyone who is giving birth.
And if you are concerned about your waters breaking in Marks and Spencers – which I am sure has happened. Generally these things do not happen on a regular basis to many pregnant women.
