Have fun and occupy the kids by making your own Easter egg decorations
This is a fun way to occupy the kids and can be followed by them using the eggs to create Easter egg displays round the house, or for the official Easter Egg Hunt. Easter decorations can be as simple or as intricate as you want to make them.
Here are some ideas to get you started
Use an old sheet or newspaper on the work area to keep it from getting messy with the supplies.
Put your kids in old clothes or use an apron to cover them.
Warning – do not plan on eating the hard boiled eggs you decorate. Also ensure that you don’t use anything toxic or that could be poisonous to decorate your eggs.
Things You’ll Need
Eggs
Pan of water to cook your hard boiled eggs
Boil the eggs for about 10 minutes – wait until they are almost cold. And use any of the following things to decorate them – making sure for your sake they are age appropriate.
Glue
Crayons
Markers
Stickers
Rice, pasta, or sprinkles
Dye
Acrylic paint
Brush and sponge
Scissors
Food coloring
Make your own Easter Tree
Find a small branch, or buy some catkins. Decorate with Easter chicks and bunnies, ribbons. To make your Easter tree super sophisticated add some hand blown eggs. You can often find these in craft shops or alternatively you can purchase them direct from Amazon.
