Why join up to Kids Pass
As the better weather approaches perhaps now is the time to consider investing in a “Kids Pass“.
That way you can also make the most of it during the long summer school holiday break.
Treating the family to a day out, is what family life is all about, but if you are not careful it can blow your monthly budget.
Kids Pass really is an excellent way to keep the cost of your family outings under control.
What is a Kids Pass
Kids Pass is a family membership club which gives you to access to thousands of family friendly discounts across the UK.
It includes savings at top theme parks, indoor/outdoor attractions, up to 40% off at cinemas nationwide (including adult/child tickets, seven days a week!). I also offers “Kids Eat Free” at popular restaurant chains.
How Kids Pass works
One Kids Pass covers the whole household which keeps things really simple. This will cover all children in the household and also covers adults in some cases. If your name is on the membership card, your partner can still use the pass even if they are not with you on that particular outing.
It should be noted that the maximum age for accessing the discounts from Kids Pass depends more on the attraction than Kids Pass itself. So for some attractions it could be up to age sixteen, while others eleven or twelve years of age. However this should be made clear when you book.
Don’t worry though, as most Kids Pass offer a discount on all adult, child and family tickets. Generally there should still be a discount available on the attraction you wish to book. This will allow you still to make savings even if you have a child who counts as an adult.
Available throughout the year and school holidays
The majority of offers available can be used during the school holidays. The ethos of the company is very much about helping parents to save money during peak times – not just out of season.
A small number of the offers may exclude certain days during the school holidays or at particularly busy times. However all theme parks, cinemas and restaurants have discount offers that are available in the holidays subject to their terms and conditions.
How do you access the offers
Offers can be redeemed online or via the Kids Pass App (install the App on up to 5 of your devices!) The normal fee is 39.99 per year.
Please be aware that until you become a member you are not able to see all the Kids Pass offers that are available on their website. This is because Kids Pass operates as a closed user group.
Alternatives to eating out and visiting attractions
Of course you don’t need to just have fun visiting attractions and eating out at popular restaurant chains. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But sometimes it is good to do something a little different. And a day out with a walk and picnic can also add to keeping your family budget under control.
