Well it is that time of the year again. Loads of adverts on the telly telling us what we should be buying this Christmas. So now is the time to start thinking about our Christmas To Do List.
Christmas To Do List is not just about buying presents
The Christmas To do List should include everything you need to buy, do, attend and cook!
Christmas does not stop with the choosing and shopping for presents. There is the wrapping them and then getting them to the recipients. There are also Christmas cards to think about, last posting dates for overseas friends and relatives.
Then there is Christmas food and meals to plan, relatives you are visiting along with Christmas parties and events. This may mean some what you are going to wear planning and shopping.
Christmas for most of us has so much extra going on than normal that life becomes even busier than normal. Writing down all the stuff you need to do along with the dates you need to get everything done by – and adding it to your calendar is a great motivator to keep you on track.
Always build in a little extra time too – just in case something takes longer to complete than you first thought.
Christmas planning is the key
It is also important to identify when Christmas begins for you. If like us the weekends before Christmas are busy with relatives visiting and exchanging presents then – this should be the cut off date for when your Christmas begins.
This may mean that your Christmas “begins” a week or two before the magical date of the 24th December!
Otherwise if you are not careful you will spend the whole time pre occupied with all things you should have done or be doing instead of having fun with the rest of the family.
