Butlins has changed – and for a holiday where the kids will never be bored you probably can not beat it, which is why I published this unashamed PR.
We all know that getting our kids to try different activities and hobbies is a good thing to do. It helps their confidence and ability to communicate with others too. So broadening their horizons and maybe the kids getting a chance to do something on holiday that you may not have the time, money or the ability to find where you live seems to me to be a perfect idea.
Definitely worth a thought I think.
Butlins ‘Summer of Discovery 2010’ will encourage kids to broaden their horizons and leave behind their comfort zones as they ‘Discover More’ this summer at the three beachside Resorts, Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness. From archery and circus skills to trampolining and basketball, the kids will have the time of their lives with over 50 activities at no extra cost* as part of a summer holiday at the popular holiday park. ’.
Parents will delight as their little ones enjoy breakfast with Bob the Builder, get fit with Pingu and pirouette with Angelina Ballerina. Meanwhile, bigger kids can branch out into activities such as fencing, archery and, for the most daring, the Climbing Wall, High Ropes and Zip Wire – all designed to heighten their sense of achievement and boost their self-confidence.
During peak season**, parents will receive free Butlins Discovery Cards for their children, which will be stamped for every exciting new activity tried. Just five stamps on their card and the little discoverers will be presented with a souvenir Butlins Discoverer pin badge they’ll be proud to show off when they get home – plus parents will have the perfect picture opportunities for the family album.
What’s more, Mums and Dads can relax and unwind with spa sessions, adventure golf and endless evening entertainment including prime time TV favourites featuring the stars of X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.
Last year, over 1.5 million families enjoyed a Butlins holiday – and 2010 looks set to be busier than ever, as Brits return to their best loved UK holiday destinations. With more free activities than anywhere else and the famous Butlins Skyline Pavilion at the heart of each Resort, families are guaranteed a fantastic time whatever the weather.
Jackie Martin, Director of Sales and Marketing at Butlins, said, “As a mum of two, I know how much joy parents get from seeing their kids having the time of their lives and giving lots of new activities a go. The Summer of Discovery has been designed with this in mind and we can’t wait to see the kids’ smiling faces as they achieve new things and receive their pin badges.”
