Animal, Quiksilver, Roxy, Bilabong and Reef
No these are not the names of my dogs, but some designer labels which my teenage daughters think are hot. All stocked by BigWednesday.com which makes it a good site to have up your sleeve.
I found it very useful recently when my daughter announced just hours before she was due back at school that her rucksack was broken. This is just typical of the chaotic way this house runs at times.
The last thing I felt like doing was making an emergency trip to a shopping centre, which is what we had to do of course! As I had expected from previous sojourns, there was nothing that fitted my daughter’s rather specific requirements for an Animal Rucksack.
When I got home I thought I would try and find someone who sold them on the net which was when I came across BigWednesday.
To my children’s horror I had never really heard of the Animal label before so I was not sure what to expect. But now having seen some of the stuff in their range I can understand the attraction for my teenagers and those of us who are a bit image conscious.
Not only do they stock Animal stuff but Quiksilver, Roxy, Billabong and Reef. I say stuff because Rucksacks aren’t their mainstream item. BigWednesday do in fact describe themselves as the UK’s freshest surf and skate clothing store.
So in addition to doing all the kit which goes with surfing like wetsuits and body boards, they do a range of men’s, women’s and kids clothes as well as hats, scarves and sunglasses. They also seemed to stock some ski wear.
I am not sure how much they stock of this as there was not a huge amount of choice. However as I discovered this site in September it may be that they are waiting for their ski wear to come in.
I also noticed that they sell some surf games – I had a quick look at these- but to be honest I would not know a good computer surf game from a bad one – so it is probably best that I leave someone else to comment on that.
If you are interested in doing real surfing there is lots of advice about this on the BigWednesday website and I also noticed that they support an environmental organisation SAS which stands for Surfers against Sewage.
Big Wednesday are based in Falmouth in Cornwall and will ship to most parts of the World. (Unless the item is very big).
Standard shipping in the UK is free. The Euro zone is £10 and World Zone is £18 which gives some idea of their shipping charges.
This is a great site for teenagers, image conscious men (and women) – and does stock a decent range of rucksacks!!!
