Background
As a particularly imperfect scatterbrained mum, of four children and three stepchildren, all now grown up, Help for Busy Mums came about as a result of my own experiences as a Mum.
Having been a stay-at-home mum, a full-time working mum, and also a step mum in later years, I became very interested in how some people managed their time better than others.
It appeared that some people are just naturally more effective at managing their time and that illusive work-life balance more successfully than I certainly was – and this was not just your typical busy mums and dads, but men and women in all sorts of walks of life both in the workplace and outside of it.
This fueled an interest to read relevant books and copy other people’s “best practices” which eventually I feel has made me a great deal more productive. However don’t get me wrong, I am still very much a work in progress, as my adult children and long-suffering husband will testify. And so I continue to read and chat to other people who often give a little advice that I feel will really benefit the Busy Mums and Dads community.
How We Have Evolved
Help for Busy Mums now has more than sixteen categories – which cover everything from cooking and childcare to housework tips. We encourage readers and experts in their fields to contribute their own time-saving tips and practical solutions to the everyday challenges that parents face.
