Ideas To Keep The Kids Busy During The School Holidays
Keeping the kids busy and happy is always a high priority during school holidays. Here are a few ideas from Help for Busy Mums.
Take a look at some of these games and ideas we have found. Whether it is printables you are after, places to visit, on-line fun, or a reminder of how to play some old fashioned games that need very few props.
Garden games can keep kids occupied for hours, they will last for years and pretty well transcend how old the kids are.. They can be great for Barbeques and Garden Parties with friends as well.
Going out for the day? A set of Boules in the boot of the car is another good game to have up sleeve. You can play it anywhere and it does not require much energy.

Self Fulfilling Prophesy
There is much talk about self fulfilling prophesy's. Some people believe in them, others may dismiss it out of hand, as they believe such stuff is nonsense.
But I believe self fulfilling prophesy's exist whatever camp you sit in, and we all should take heed however we choose to interpret this nougat of information.
The thing is, if you believe something is going to be difficult the chances are that, guess what, it will be.
Well you may argue it is difficult because it is a challenge. The truth is if we believe something is difficult, or even impossible the likelihood is it is going to be just that.
There are many examples through history of things being deemed impossible. Roger Bannister and the three minute mile is one of the most famous. Everyone believed it was impossible for a human to run so fast. But once Roger Bannister had broken the record many people have run a mile even faster.
On a more day to day basis, even the smallest problems, can be dismissed as too difficult and guess what we make our lives more challenging by believing that is the way things are.
One of the reasons for this is our brains close down and do not seek solutions or positive outcomes to the challenge we are facing. We also subconsciously collect information to confirm our beliefs of the outcome we have decided to focus on.
A good example is when you have bought a new car you suddenly start seeing “your car” wherever you go. It isn’t that there are suddenly more of your make and model of cars on the road. It is just that you have collected this information in your subconscious about "your car".
So whether it is finding a car parking space, or having a great holiday, if we believe that is what is going to happen, chances are it probably will.
So be careful, especially at the moment, with the constant barrage of poor economic news.
If your subconscious natter is telling you that you are “too busy”, “you have “no money”, or "life is hard”, chances are they will all become your own self fulfilling prophesy's.
Do yourself a favour, make sure you are focusing on positive “can do” goals not negative ones. It will make the school holidays a lot more fun, I promise.
