Hi There
With the summer holidays fast approaching it is good to have a few ideas up your sleeve to occupy the kids. Ideally things that do not cost too much money and are easy and fun to implement.
So here are some website we think you may find useful. Take a look at our Family Activities pages
To support Busy Mums we now have a Benefits page where we are able to offer a discount on a number of products and services.(For some of you to access the Benefits you may need to register again with us again, if you do have any problems do drop us an email.)
We also would like to hear from any companies who would like to support Help for Busy Mums and offer their own incentives to help busy mums.
In the next bulletin - out the beginning of August we are going to concentrate on outside play. Also at the beginning of August we will be contacting some lucky readers who have been picked as winners of our prize draw. As subscribers to Help for Busy Mums you are automatically entered into this draw each month.
Food For Thought - The Ten Minute Rule
Lots of bits and pieces to be done, playing on your mind?
That phone call you have been meaning to make, the outstanding chore or maybe an odd bit of paperwork.
When you watch people who seem to be very time efficient – they use the odd ten minutes very wisely
It is pretty amazing how using “the ten minute rule” on a regular basis can really up the level of your own efficiency and reduce your stress and to do list significantly, whatever your personal circumstances.
What is also true is that over running on things by ten minutes can up your stress levels and reduce your efficiency and your “free time” significantly.
Ten minutes may not sound much but by over running on the odd phone call, office chat, or even getting your make up right, can make a real impact on your day.
So next time you are tapping your fingers waiting for someone, or something. Think the ten minute rule.
What can you do while you are waiting. And remember too, that running ten minutes late all day is likely not just to increase your workload but leave you feeling overwhelmed, irritable and possibly raise your blood pressure.
Be back in a couple of weeks.
